DESCRIPTION:ROISIN SULLIVAN – FRIDAY 2ND AUGUST \nIn this full-day course\, Roisin Sullivan will present a range of both theory and practical soft tissue skills relevant to hand therapists. \nRoisin Sullivan is the an Occupational Therapist that has practiced exclusively in Soft Tissue OT for the past 14 years to promote occupational performance for her clients. DESCRIPTION:Presented by Lisa Scott \nWe are delighted to have secured Lisa Scott from Melbourne to present this exciting course. Lisa is an experienced Occupational Therapists with over 25 years experience. \nThe areas covered in this workshop are :- Theoretical Models\, Assessment\, Hand Development\,Pre-writing and drawing skills\,Intervention Strategies andSpecific Programs. \nThis 2-day workshop investigates elements of handwriting\, drawing and tool usage for kindergarten and primary school children. Handwriting difficulties are one of the primary reasons for a referral to an occupational therapist. Handwriting is also one of the most complex tasks in which children engage. It requires skills in the areas of cognition\, visuo-spatial\, language fine motor and kinaesthetic development. Research has indicated that children who can write well perform at a higher level academically.
