SUMMARY:Hand and Upper Limb Course
DESCRIPTION:This interactive and practical full day workshop will provide a theoretical basis for your clinical reasoning when working with patients who have hand and upper limb conditions. \nThe workshop is aimed at new graduates\, therapists who are interested in hand therapy\, and therapists new to the field. DESCRIPTION:Neurology and Anatomy of the Upper Limb (lets get hands on !) – Associate Professor Anthony Pohl – Friday November 30th \nWe are very excited to have Associate Professor Anthony Pohl give a repeat course on Neurology and Anatomy of the Upper Limb in November 2019. \nMr. A. P. Pohl is the Director\, Orthopaedic Trauma\, at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and is an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics and Trauma\, University of Adelaide. \nHe has a major interest in pelvic and acetabular fractures\, external fixation and fracture healing and is actively involved in teaching\, instrument design and technology. \nWhat is unique about his courses is that he teaches with a “hands on” approach \nWhat will you learn at the course ? \nNeurology and Anatomy\, but in a “hands on” fashion\, with illustrations of how to examine various nerves or muscle function\, and then undertaking that on “buddies”. Several “tricks” of the trade-in examination technique\, and often several techniques of examining a specific muscle\, or nerve (by examining that muscle) are also covered.
