SUMMARY:STARTING YOUR OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY RESEARCH JOURNEY
DESCRIPTION:Dr Kristie Harper is an occupational therapist with over twenty years clinical experience working with adults in community and hospital settings. For the last decade\, Kristie has worked at an acute tertiary hospital\, integrating research into clinical practice. She is currently works as a Research Coordinator between Curtin University and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. For the past five years Kristie has been a member of a local Human Research Ethics Committee. Kristie completed her PhD in 2020 and is committed to supporting students and clinicians to undertake occupational therapy research.  \nThe aim of this course is to provide clinician’s with the introductory skills and knowledge to start a research project. We will explore how to identify and frame a research question\, how to design and plan your research project and how to negotiate the research pathway.
