PLEASE ADVISE OUR PD CO-ORDINATOR CAROLYN ON C.EARLE@BIGPOND.COM \nWe are delighted to present this innovative workshop on “Difficult conversations and practical supervision for staff involving debriefing” by Dr Margaret Potter. \nDr Margaret Potter is an education consultant\, health professional and internationally certified coach with more than 20 years of experience working with individuals\, groups and organisations to optimise communication\, teamwork and workplace-based performance. Margaret is a sought after presenter who will engage\, inform and entertain participants with a “hands on” approach. \nBackground \nHaving a difficult conversation\, be it with a patient/client\, student or colleague is challenging for any health professional. When is a good time? How should you approach the situation? If the conversation triggers a bad response what should you do? \nThe desire to maintain a cordial and respectful relationship\, while still seeking to address matters of concern requires assertion\, diplomacy and mediation skills.
