DESCRIPTION:  \nThe February meeting of the OT Services in the Home Interest Group will be hosting a presentation by Occupational Therapist Ilissa Liew on pressure care mattresses. This will include an overview of pressure care principles\, the different types of mattresses available and advantages\, disadvantages and client application for each. Ilissa is an Occupational Therapist with 15 years of experience in community neurology\, geriatrics and disability.  Ilissa’s approach to occupational therapy is grounded in a deep understanding of each individuals unique needs\, enabling her to tailor evidence-based interventions that promote independence\, well-being\, and quality of life.
