Due to popular requests WAOTA presents a half-day course on Vocational Rehabilitation.
Workplace rehabilitation is the process of helping an injured worker recover and return to work following an injury or illness. Otherwise known as Vocational Rehabilitation is a process which enables persons with functional, psychological, developmental, cognitive, and emotional disabilities or impairments to overcome barriers in accessing, maintaining, or returning to employment or other useful and meaningful occupation.

This course is tailored to any Allied Health professional looking to gain a basic understanding of Vocational Rehabilitation services, the benefits and key deliverables.
Presented by : Jason Vowles.
Jason is the Perth Business Manager at WorkFocus Australia. An Exercise Physiologist by background, he has extensive experience in the WorkCover space across a variety of insurers and legislations. Having worked previously in a clinical setting as an Exercise Physiologist, specialising in rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injures, Jason then progressed to Business Manager for REDIMED and Be Active Health Solutions, before moving into vocational rehabilitation as the Business Manager of WorkFocus Australia’s Perth office.
In his role as Business Manager, Jason is responsible for the relationships and execution of Customer Service Level Agreements with key insurers and employers within WA. Working with an established team, and alongside the State Managers across the country, Jason oversees effective service delivery, identifying strategies for customers to address key focus areas to ensure ongoing achievement of key performance metrics.
Jason remains an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA)
