WA Occupational Therapy Association Monthly Newsletter to Members
WA Occupational Therapy Association encourages the submission of articles from members and other relevant bodies. This is one way in which we keep members up to date with current happenings in Western Australia.
All articles are to be submitted to the WA Occupational Therapy Association office via email for editing [email protected]. Our newsletter is issued bi-monthly therefore submission dates are:
Due Date: 15th June
Due Date: 15th August
Due Date: 15th October
There are a variety of headings used in the newsletter, which your article can be placed under:
- Letters to the editor
- Media Watch
- Vital Information
- Forthcoming Events
- Seminars and Conferences
- Specialty Groups
- Keeping in Touch
- Clinical Initiatives
Articles can be a brief comment, or as long as the topic requires. The Newsletter Committee reserves the right to edit as needed.
So, send your articles or comments in. Ideas to get you started are:
- A spotlight on a service, department or individual
- A clinical experience or case study
- A review of a piece of equipment
- A summary of a conference or course attended or given
- A review of a quality improvement project or evidence based practice review
- A funny situation
- A comment on a political situation
If you have a great idea or a lead on a story but are unable to follow up yourself, let the Newsletter Committee know, via the WA Occupational Therapy Association Office, and we may be able to assist.
N.B. Articles submitted for inclusion from Private Practice or other financial organisations will be encouraged to also submit an advertisement in the same issue (please refer to advertisement rates).
