Elizabeth Oliver – Bringing Passion, Purpose and Possibility though Occupation
As occupational therapists, we know that mealtimes are so much more than an opportunity for food intake. Join Elizabeth Oliver, as she shares her ambitious quest to revolutionise the dining experience of older adults living in residential care in her leadership role within Maggie Beer’s Big Mission. Using a case study example, Elizabeth will showcase the power of occupation to ignite passion, purpose and possibility to optimise proactive person-centred care and counteract the “institutional creep” that is prevalent in aged care. Elizabeth hopes that her address will inspire more occupational therapists to step into change agent roles and make a positive difference in aged care.
