Message from Medicare, Services Australia

From 4 October 2022, some health care locations will lose access to adaptor technology for Medicare Online, including Department of Veterans Affairs and the Australian Immunisation Register. We’ll let you know if this applies to you.

You may not lose your access straight away, it can take up to 6 to 8 weeks from 4 October.

If your location is impacted, you’ll need web services and PRODA compatible software to submit claims and data using Medicare Online. You can also use Health Professional Online Services (HPOS), if your software is not upgraded in time.
