Due to popular requests WAOTA presents a half-day course on Vocational Rehabilitation.
Workplace rehabilitation is the process of helping an injured worker recover and return to work following an injury or illness. Otherwise known as Vocational Rehabilitation is a process which enables persons with functional, psychological, developmental, cognitive, and emotional disabilities or impairments to overcome barriers in accessing, maintaining, or returning to employment or other useful and meaningful occupation.

This course is tailored to any Allied Health professional looking to gain a basic understanding of Vocational Rehabilitation services, the benefits and key deliverables.
Presented by : Hannah Thong
Hannah is the Regional Team Leader at WorkFocus Australia. She is an Occupational Therapist and has extensive experience in Vocational Rehabilitation.
She has a passion for advocating for and educating people about occupational therapy and the value it can have in improving a person’s quality of life.
Currently her role provides Injury Management advice and providing vocational rehabilitation services as a Team Leader with WorkFocus Australia. She can comfortably manage a varied caseload of clients, ensuring each client has the highest level of client centred care and support. She also manages a team of Rehabilitation Consultants that service Regional WA. Her strengths lie in a organised and proactive approach to case management and her ability to build excellent rapport with clients.
