Details: Dr Jodie Armstrong’s doctorate focused on developing and evaluating the LEaP therapeutic playgroup for children with developmental delays and/or disabilities. Developed as a ‘first line’ approach for children entering therapeutic services, this model showed to be effective in improving children’s developmental outcomes and increasing parental social support.
Jodie will be presenting on the LEaP playgroup model, key research findings, next steps for LEaP as well as outlining the core components of therapeutic playgroups for therapist wanting to implement such models within their practice.
