Our emotions are so often contagious and a single person can influence the tone, energy and focus of a group both for better and for worse. So, what impact do you want to have on your team or family? How can you improve your skills to better manage important relationships at work or at home? How can you utilise EI to foster a positive and productive environment?

This interactive session on EI will explore the value of building self and social awareness and relationship management skills. At the end of the session participants will be able to:

• Define and discuss the importance of EI
• Self-assess their EI
• Identify strategies to recognise the impact of their emotions on performance
• Discuss how to support others to improve their EI
• Explore ways to improve EI in the workplace

About the presenter

Dr Margaret Potter is an education consultant, health professional and internationally certified coach with more than 20 years of experience working with individuals, groups and organisations to optimise communication, teamwork and workplace-based performance. Margaret has an interactive approach and enjoys engaging, informing and entertaining participants.
