This full day course will equip you with the understanding and skills to become a more effective and dynamic practitioner working in the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) space. With the NDIS constantly evolving, keeping up to date and knowing the tips and tricks is essential to good client outcomes and being a competitive service provider. To attend this course you should already understand the NDIS fundamentals of eligibility and access, planning meetings, reasonable and necessary criteria and NDIS funding budgets.
Hosted by health professional and NDIS participant Danielle Loizou-Lake, this interactive full day course will provide you with the information and resources you need to be an effective and informed practitioner in the NDIS space. Danielle is an experienced and engaging presenter with a wealth of real life examples to illustrate where the NDIS works well and where both therapists and participants make mistakes.
Danielle is currently working on a project to improve the hospital to home experience for people with disability and enduring mental illness. The project is a partnership between National Disability Services and Department of Health. In 2020 Danielle started Paper Planes Support Coordination, a social enterprise to support people to make the most of their NDIS plans.
Danielle is currently undertaking post graduate studies in Population Health and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Movement and Health Promotion.
